Alexis Baranek Art

Hello and welcome to my Gallery

I hope you enjoy viewing my original paintings. Be sure and check back often as new works are added all the time! You will find one of the hallmarks of my work is variety - I'm not the type to do the same type of things all the time! I find inspiration in variety, constantly discovering new ideas and subject matter. Sometimes I'm realistic, sometimes I'm impressionistic and sometimes I venture into the abstract! I also use a lot of vibrant color and often add textures through collage and various mediums. For a change of pace I also make one-of-a kind jewelry and decorated art glass.

My paintings can be ordered by email and shipped by mail but also if you live or are in the area of North Florida arrangements can be made to see paintings in person. Please feel free to contact me with questions about a specific painting, comments, suggestions, questions or anything else related to art!

Recent Works

Below are a few of my most recent works. "Distant Brilliance" is part of my series on views from my own home here in North Florida - I've pushed the color to the limit and added metallic accents - I love the way this painting stands out! Currently it is in the show in Lake City at the West Branch Library. The show is sponsored by our art league - The Art League of North Florida and Friends of the Library and runs until August 22, 2009. "Dance of the Trees" is a forest of beautiful colors. "Tree of Happiness" is purely from imagination and very impressionistic also. Just a happy Spring!

Today - June 29 - I just added three more new paintings. Summer Glory is also in the show at the library - it is one of my favorites and has a lot of texture. Barn and Wilflowers is inspired by the many rural farms near my home that have fields filled with wildflowers and Sedona Rocks is inspired by a stream in the mountains of Arizona.
